TIME IS LIKE

“Time is like water flowing in a stream, once it is gone you cannot have it back”. A poetic show inspired by the vast culture of traditional and modern China, on the theme of the seasons and the passage of time.

“The hundred flowers in spring, the moon in autumn, The fresh wind in summer, the snow in winter, If the heart frees itself from all futile cares, These are pleasant moments in the world of men.” Wumen Guikai (1183-1260) “The poem is an invisible painting Painting is a visible poem.” Guo Xi (11th-century Chinese painter).

Offering audiences a contemporary expression of this thought could be the summary of this show, staged in 2008 in the prestigious and monumental setting of London’s O2 Arena (formerly the Millennium Dome). It enabled Les Passagers to transpose certain cultural references from ancestral China into its vertical universe.
